I wanted more load without buying heavier dumbbells
Training at home, my dumbbells had become too light, but not light enough to justify buying heavier ones. Then I learned that slowing the tempo of each rep raises the load. When I tried it, I could not keep count: reps, seconds and form all at once. The counting got in the way and my form got sloppy. A timer that counts the tempo for me: that was the starting point.
Once I started, the wish list kept growing
Count each arm separately. Pause mid-rep. Then intervals, sets, a weekly schedule, a log of what I did, body weight. The tempo timer became a tool for keeping up training.
I use it every single workout
I still train at a fixed tempo with this app every time. When it gets hard and the voice says "three left" and "last one", I push a little more.
Any exercise, your own names, and no guessing
It is faster to register the exercises you actually do, under the names you use, so entry is free-form. For people who told me "I don't know what to do", an illustrated exercise library and an AI coach that plans your week are on the way.
